Anesthesiology is a branch of medicine that deals with the study of the treatment of acute and chronic pain and changes occurring in the body during and immediately after surgery, as well as the study of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Members of the anesthesiology team are doctors specialized in anesthesiology, resuscitation and intensive care, as well as specially trained nurses working in the operating room as well as anesthesiologist technicians in the post-operative and post-anesthesia department. (the so-called “wake-up room”).

The anesthesiologist is responsible for having a painless and safe operation and also taking care of your pre-operative preparation so that, according to your general state of health, you will be in optimal condition for surgery.
