Education

  • Finished elementary school and high school in Skopje with excellent success as the first of her generation. Enrolled at the Faculty of Medicine in Skopje in 1968/69 and graduated in 1974 with an average grade of 9.5. Awarded by the faculty for the high average.
  • In 1975,  Employed at the Clinic for Children’s Diseases in Skopje, where worked until 2015
  • On 1.7.1975 received a specialization in the subject of pediatrics at the Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine-Skopje, and completed it on 3.7.1980.
  • In 1991, defended doctoral dissertation on the topic: Thyroid function in healthy newborns, premature and in severe, non-thyroid diseases under mentor prof. Dr. Nikola Serafimov from the Institute of Pathophysiology at the Faculty of Medicine in Skopje.

Work Experience

  • 1975 – Employment at the Clinic for Children’s Diseases, Skopje
  • 1979 – Selected as a junior assistant in the subject of pediatrics
  • 1982 – Elected as an assistant
  • 1985 – Re-elected as assistant
  • 1985 – Head of the department for at-risk newborn children
  • 1989 – Re-elected as assistant
  • 1992 – Elected in a scientific teaching position
  • 1993 – I was given the title of primarius
  • 1990 – Head of the Center for premature children and exsanguinotransfusion, which I introduced as a method and then educated the young staff until 2015.
  • 1995- 2015 – Head of the Department of Neonatology at the Clinic for Children’s Diseases
  • 1998 – Elected as an associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine in Skopje
  • 2003 – Elected full professor at the Faculty of Medicine in Skopje
  • 2008 – Re-elected full professor at the Faculty of Medicine in Skopje
  • 1998 – 2021 Reviewer and mentor of master’s and doctoral students at the Faculty of Medicine
  • 2020 – Specialist in Neonatology and Pediatrics One Hospital (ongoing)
