syndrome (OAS), occurs when a protein in a fruit, vegetable, or nut that is similar to a protein in allergy-causing pollen causes you to have a reaction.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-toggle-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-1392\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"button\" A number of conditions can cause similar symptoms, making it important to get a prompt and accurate diagnosis.<\/p><p><strong>Get emergency medical treatment<\/strong>\u00a0if you have:<\/p><ul><li>Shortness of breath or wheezing that is quickly increasing, making it a struggle to breathe<\/li><li>No improvement even after using a prescription inhaler for asthma attacks<\/li><\/ul><h2>Causes<\/h2><p>It&#8217;s not clear what causes exercise-induced bronchoconstriction. There may be more than one biological process involved. People with exercise-induced bronchoconstriction have inflammation and might produce excess mucus after hard exercise.<\/p><h2>Risk factors<\/h2><p>Exercise-induced bronchoconstriction is more likely to occur in:<\/p><ul><li><strong>People with asthma.<\/strong>\u00a0About 90% of people with asthma have exercise-induced bronchoconstriction. However, the condition can occur in people without asthma too.<\/li><li><strong>Elite athletes.<\/strong>\u00a0Although anyone can have exercise-induced bronchoconstriction, it&#8217;s more common in high-level athletes.<\/li><\/ul><p>Factors that can increase the risk of the condition or act as triggers include:<\/p><ul><li>Cold air<\/li><li>Dry air<\/li><li>Air pollution<\/li><li>Chlorine in swimming pools<\/li><li>Chemicals from ice cleaning equipment<\/li><li>Activities with extended periods of deep breathing, such as long-distance running, swimming or soccer<\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-toggle-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-1394\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"4\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-1394\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon elementor-toggle-icon-left\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-closed\"><i class=\"fas fa-caret-right\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-opened\"><i class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-opened fas fa-caret-up\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-toggle-title\" tabindex=\"0\">Cough in Children<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-1394\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"4\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1394\"><p>A reflex action involving sudden noisy expulsion of air from the lungs. Cough is not always related to an underlying condition. The impact of childhood pneumonia on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is not well defined. The lungs are made up of small sacs called alveoli, which fill with air when a healthy person breathes. When an individual has pneumonia, the alveoli are filled with pus and fluid, which makes breathing painful and limits oxygen intake.<\/p><h2 class=\"section_head1\">Causes<\/h2><p>Pneumonia is caused by several infectious agents, including viruses, bacteria and fungi. The most common are the following.<\/p><ul type=\"disc\"><li data-list=\"0\" data-level=\"1\"><em>Streptococcus pneumoniae<\/em>\u00a0is the most common cause of bacterial pneumonia in children.<\/li><li data-list=\"0\" data-level=\"1\"><em>Haemophilus influenzae<\/em>\u00a0type b (Hib) is the second most common cause of bacterial pneumonia.<\/li><li data-list=\"0\" data-level=\"1\">Respiratory syncytial virus is the most common viral cause of pneumonia.<\/li><li data-list=\"0\" data-level=\"1\">In infants infected with HIV,\u00a0<em>Pneumocystis jiroveci\u00a0<\/em>is one of the most common causes of pneumonia, responsible for at least one quarter of all pneumonia deaths in HIV-infected infants.<\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-toggle-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-1399\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"9\"
